We are a group of air charter brokers made up of professional airplane and helicopter pilots, with more than 15 years of flying experience. Our operations base is San Fernando International Airport, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

We offer the comprehensive organization of helicopter flights in Buenos Aires, Argentina, through an extensive network of certified air carriers, carefully selected based on their standards of quality and safety, and their trajectory over time.

Flights depart from San Fernando International Airport, just 30 minutes away by car from Buenos Aires city center (see location).

We use Robinson 44 helicopters with capacity for 1 pilot and 3 passengers and Robinson 66 helicopters with capacity for 1 pilot and 4 passengers. Visit the Fleet section to see more information about these aircraft.

General conditions

We can fly any day of the week, weekend or holiday, from 9am to 6pm. It is not possible to fly at night, however in summer season we can schedule the last departure at 7pm. Since we do not have customer service offices at the airport, flights are only carried out with prior reservation.

The helicopters have capacity for 1 pilot and 3 or 4 passengers, depending on the model. Unless a private flight is specifically requested upon reservation, flights or helitours may be shared with passengers occupying other seats.

The minimum age to attend a flight is 2 years old. Regardless of the age, all passengers pay the same rate.

Given that the helicopters have weight and balance limitations, the total weight of the passengers must not exceed 240 kg. in the Robinson 44 and 320 kg. in the Robinson 66 (average of 80 kg. per person). In any case, the maximum weight allowed per person is 120 kg.

For safety reasons, it is required that all passengers are able to exit the aircraft by their own means, if this is necessary. If any passenger has a physical limitation, please let us know before booking a flight.

Gift vouchers must be used within the validity period indicated in each particular case. After this period, the voucher will expire and a penalty of 100% of the total service will be applied.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Before the flight

Only small handbags are accepted on board, as the helicopters have very small compartments to accommodate luggage.

We recommend bringing comfortable and light clothes, ideally in dark colors, to avoid the reflection in the windows of the helicopter which could be seen in the photos.

All passengers must have a physical identity card or passport, valid on the date of flight.

In addition, each passenger must assume the consequences and the costs of penalties applicable for not complying with this requirement, not having the right to claim or hold any responsibility to Buenos Aires Helitours.

Passengers must take the necessary precautions to arrive at the airport at least 20 minutes before the time of their flight.

The tolerance for any delay is 10 minutes over the scheduled time, passed that time the flight will be cancelled and the penalty corresponding to a no-show will be charged.

Keep in mind that if there are other scheduled activities, your particular delay affects the rest of the schedule. Better waiting a few minutes at the airport than being late and missing your flight!

A member of our team will greet you upon arrival at the airport, at the agreed place and time. Once there, we will assist you in the boarding process and the security check, and we will accompany you to your helicopter.

Before boarding the aircraft, information will be provided about the activity to be carried out and the applicable security measures will be announced. Additionally, and given the nature of the activity, passengers may be required to complete a liability waiver form.

Booking process

We take reservations with a maximum of 30 days before the date of flight. If you are within that period, we recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure the availability of the helicopter.

To make the reservation, it will be necessary to pay a deposit of 50% or the total service (see payment methods).

The reservations will be confirmed by email, once the payment of the deposit or of the entire service has been credited.

Any change requested by the customer for a reserved and confirmed flight, such as dates, times, itineraries, destinations or others, will be subject to the availability of the aircraft and any additional costs that may apply.

The request must be made at least 72 hours before the date of flight. For any change requested within 72 hours before the date of flight, a penalty of 50% of the total original price will be charged, in addition to the extra costs that may apply for the change itself.

If there is no availability to make the requested change and the customer cannot comply with the original itinerary, or if the customer does not accept a modification in the rate as a result of the requested change, the service will be cancelled and penalties will apply as in the case of cancellation by the customer, specified in the "Cancellations" section.

In case of cancellation by the customer, the following penalties apply: more than 72 hours before the date of flight, 50% of the total service will be charged. Between 72 and 24 hours before the date of flight, 75% of the total service will be charged. Less than 24 hours before the flight or in case of a no-show, 100% of the service will be charged.

In case of cancellations by Buenos Aires Helitours, the full amount paid out by the customer will be refunded.

Rates and means of payment

The rates displayed on our website are in Argentine Pesos (ARS), Brazilian Reals (BRL), Euros (EUR) and United States Dollars (USD), the latter being the reference currency. The VAT (value added tax) of 10.5% or 21% applies depending on the type of flight to be performed.

Rates can change without notice and their validity is only guaranteed in the reference currency (US dollar), from the moment the service is paid.

Payments can be done via bank transfer, cash deposit or via Paypal (5% surcharge applies), prior to the date of flight. In anticipation of the delay that these transactions may imply, no payment will be recognized until the funds are credited to the corresponding account.

Payments can also be done at the airport, either in cash, with a debit card or with a credit card (Visa or American Express only; 7% surcharge applies).

The currency of reference of our rates is the United States dollar (USD). If a flight is payed in another currency and there is a devaluation of its value between the date of payment and the date of flight, the possibility of paying the difference prior to the flight will be offered to the customer, or the amount paid at the time of booking will be refunded and the flight will be canceled without prejudice or penalty.

If case of refunds, the same payment method and the same currency with which the reservation was made will be used.

Any fee or bank commission for this transaction will be borne by the client and will be deducted from the amount to be reimbursed.

In addition, an administrative fee equivalent to 5% of the amount to reimburse will be charged to the client (not applicable if the refund originates from a cancellation of the service by the operator, unrelated to weather reasons).

Processing of the refund request and payment term may take up to 10 business days.

Modifications to the service

The pilot is solely responsible to decide whether a flight can be conducted or not due to weather conditions.

In case of adverse weather at the time of your flight (rain, strong winds, reduced visibility...), you can either ask for a refund (check our refund policy) or reschedule the activity for a date of your convenience within 15 days of the original date. Passed that time, the reservation will expire and a cancellation fee of 100% of the total service will apply.

If you elect to reschedule the flight in advance due to weather forecast, the policies specified in the section "Changes to the reservation" will apply.

If you elect not to travel due to weather conditions at the scheduled time but flights are still operational, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total service will apply.

A flight may suffer delays or reschedules and itineraries may vary due to weather, air traffic control or force majeur reasons. The customer will not hold Buenos Aires Helitours responsible for reschedules or changes of itineraries based on any of the aforementioned reasons.

The duration of each tour is indicative and varies according to the permits obtained and the route authorized by the air traffic control, weather conditions and other factors beyond the responsibility of Buenos Aires Helitours.

Since the duration of a tour is based on the elapsed time from the aircraf's engine startup to its stop, the specific flight time could be less than the total duration of the activity, since that duration includes the time on the ground required for the execution of procedures and maneuvers pre/post takeoff/landing.

Legal notes

Buenos Aires Helitours provides advisory services and acts as an intermediary between the customer and the air operator. Buenos Aires Helitours does not act as an air carrier, and does not own or operate any aircraft.

Buenos Aires Helitours only offers services from air operators that are authorized by the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) according to the Argentine Civil Aviation Regulations (RAAC).

Air operators are solely responsible for the services provided for the customers of Buenos Aires Helitours, and for compliance with the requirements and applicable regulations for carrying them out.

All passengers are covered by the insurance of the operator of each aircraft. Buenos Aires Helitours does not provide any additional coverage.

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a global pandemic and its consequences were no longer unforeseen or unexpected circumstances. Since then, the outbreak has evolved rapidly and governments around the world have taken swift action to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Therefore, no exceptions will be made to the applicable charges or penalties for requests for changes or cancellations due to causes related to COVID-19.
